Santa and Mrs. Claus stand together beside a red postbox to go through the latest Christmas mail. Mrs. Claus carefully reads a letter aloud while Santa looks over her shoulder, still holding another letter of his own. Presents, a basket full of mail and a ‘Special Delivery’ sack surround the postbox. It seems that even at the North Pole, the inbox keeps filling up just before Christmas.

This hand-painted Christmas figure is by the American Christmas brand Possible Dreams by Department 56. Santa and Mrs. Claus’s clothing is made using the signature Clothtique technique, in which real fabric is stiffened and shaped. The tartan fabrics, tiny letters and carefully detailed postal accessories make this Christmas scene beautifully decorative from every angle.
